The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a public assistance call on Monday evening on Blue Spruce Lane in Malta. Following their investigation, they arrested 56-year-old Donovan R. Grose of Ballston Lake on charges related to violating an order of protection.
Grose is facing a charge of criminal contempt in the first degree, a class E felony. The charge was elevated to a felony because he had a prior conviction for criminal contempt within the last five years, indicating a previous violation of a protection order.
After his arrest, Grose was released on an appearance ticket at the direction of Honorable Ellwood A. Sloat Jr. of the Malta Town Court. He is scheduled to appear in court for further proceedings.
