A Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant employee in Clifton Park is seeking the return of her stolen purse, which contained cash, credit cards, and car keys. Elianha Yuquilema, 19, reported the incident Friday night after discovering her bag was missing during the busy Mother’s Day weekend.
Restaurant staff found surveillance footage showing a woman leaving with the bag. Pancho’s management contacted police, and the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact investigators. Co-owner Luis Uzhca mentioned the restaurant is planning to upgrade its security cameras to prevent similar incidents.
Yuquilema expressed that the theft has been emotionally difficult, but she has not lost trust in people. “I know not everyone is like her,” she said. The owner emphasized the importance of being careful but noted that the alleged thief is facing scrutiny for allegedly taking something that wasn’t theirs.
