A server at Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant in Clifton Park, Elianha Yuquilema, is seeking the return of her stolen purse after it was allegedly taken during the busy Mother’s Day weekend. The 19-year-old left her bag near the restroom area Friday night and realized it was missing later, containing important items including her car keys, credit cards, and approximately $250 in cash.
Yuquilema described the situation as emotionally difficult, expressing confusion about the suspect’s motives. However, she has not lost trust in people and does not want to press charges. Instead, she hopes to recover her belongings. The restaurant, operated by the Uzhca family for over 20 years, is reviewing surveillance footage and considering upgrading its security system.
Co-owner Luis Uzhca emphasized the importance of awareness and caution, stating the alleged theft is unfortunate but not uncommon. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about this incident or similar alleged thefts to contact investigators.
