Local law enforcement recently secured two significant arrests related to child exploitation in Saratoga County. Shawn Edwards, 32, of Grahamsville, was arrested on May 8th and charged with promoting and disseminating sexually explicit materials involving minors. William Peters, 53, of Halfmoon, was also arrested the same day after being charged with possessing and promoting such material following similar investigative leads.
Both investigations were initiated by tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Edwards is currently held on various bonds totaling up to $70,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on May 18th. Peters was held after his arraignment on bonds including a $10,000 cash option and a $150,000 partially secured bond.
