Local business leader Dawn Vavala of Halfmoon is the recipient of the 2026 New York State Senate Woman of Distinction Award. Senator Jim Tedisco (R,C-Ballston Lake) presented the honor to Dawn, recognizing her outstanding contributions and community spirit.
As the owner of Nite Owl Marketing in Clifton Park, specializing in custom clothing and promotional products, Dawn has been a prominent figure in the Capital Region’s small business community for over 25 years. Her dedication extends beyond her business, as she is also known for her significant support for the Schenectady School District Educational Foundation.
Before founding Nite Owl Marketing, Dawn successfully operated Tuxego in Clifton Park and grew up in Schenectady, graduating from Mont Pleasant High School. This recognition celebrates her long-standing commitment to both business success and community service in the Saratoga County area.
