A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a single-vehicle crash on Waite Road in Clifton Park Monday night, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Jacqueline A. Kawola, 57, of Ballston Lake, was cited for DWI, moving from lane unsafely, and speeding. The incident occurred around 9:51 p.m. when her vehicle reportedly left the roadway, striking a utility pole and causing wires to fall.
The car overturned and ended up on its side on an embankment. Kawola was released on appearance tickets and transported for evaluation, but the downed power lines required the area to be addressed by authorities.
