A fire occurred on Grooms Road in Clifton Park Friday afternoon, prompting a second alarm and displacing two adults and a five-month-old infant. The blaze, which started around 5:00 p.m., required significant response efforts.
The Vischer Ferry Fire Department requested backup upon arrival as the fire quickly grew, leading to a full second alarm deployment. Fortunately, crews managed to contain the fire, and no injuries were reported. The Red Cross has since provided assistance to the displaced residents.
Multidisciplinary teams, including fire departments from Clifton Park, Jonesville, Rexford, and West Crescent, the Stratton Air National Guard Fire Department, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, and local EMS were all involved in managing the incident.
