The American Red Cross is providing crucial support to students and adults affected by a tour bus crash near Lake George on Sunday morning, April 19th. The bus, carrying seventeen students and six chaperones from various high schools including those in the Bronx, lost control at the intersection of Diamond Point Road and Lake Shore Drive around 11:13 a.m., according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Fortunately, reports indicate that injuries are minor. Sheriff’s Office spokespersons stated that the bus driver and four passengers were taken to local hospitals, while the remaining passengers and chaperones were transported to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office for processing. The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the crash, which is believed to have occurred because the driver allegedly did not stop properly at the intersection, causing the bus to leave the road and hit several trees, an outbuilding, a boat, and another vehicle.
The Red Cross has stepped in to assist the affected individuals, providing food, blankets, and comfort kits to the 23 people involved. This support underscores the community’s commitment to helping those in need following this unexpected incident. We
