Saratoga Springs native Libby Adams is this month’s Saratogian of the Month. Known for her charismatic personality, Libby’s party trick is balancing all sorts of things on her head, much like she balances her role as a co-host on the FLY Morning Rush radio show. Before finding her voice on the airwaves, she studied communications and was initially terrified during her first day on air, but now feels completely comfortable behind the microphone.
Moved to Saratoga County at just 10 years old, Libby was named Most Outgoing her senior year of high school. Despite not having radio experience, a career opportunity on the morning show arose during the pandemic, and she auditioned alongside her cousin’s husband, Jake Allen, eventually landing her current role. Listeners appreciate her relatable stories, like the famous highway service loss near Exit 14, which sparked many local responses.
Off the air, Libby is just as engaging, whether she’s enjoying a drink at Tree House Brewing or out with her dog Tuna. She has a nickname from her time at Kings Tavern and shares that she’s an “everything person,” enjoying beer, wine, and tequila. Libby strives for authenticity on her show, aiming to be relatable and often oversharing, believing in being an open book.
Since moving to Saratoga Springs, Libby has embraced community life, working part-time at Tree House Brewing and connecting with locals. Her background in communications and natural friendliness make her a valued voice on the radio and a familiar face in the community.
