A significant incident occurred on West Avenue in Saratoga Springs early Tuesday morning, April 14th, prompting a police response around 7:30 a.m. near Washington Street. According to the Saratoga Springs Police Department, officers found one individual with serious injuries after responding to reports of a fight in progress.
Emergency medical services were immediately dispatched, and the injured person was transported to Saratoga Hospital by Saratoga Springs Fire/EMS. Police located the suspect involved in the altercation and have secured them. As a result, West Avenue was closed for approximately two hours while officers processed the crime scene.
Drivers were advised to use alternate routes, including Grand Avenue or Church Street, during the closure.
