On the night of April 17th, 2026, around 2:53 a.m., the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to an active domestic incident on Dewey Avenue in Halfmoon. Law enforcement encountered Charles J. Wall III, a 57-year-old Halfmoon resident.
Wall was arrested and formally charged with two counts: criminal contempt in the first degree (a class E felony) and harassment in the second degree (a violation). These charges stem from accusations that he violated an order of protection by subjecting the protected individual to unlawful physical contact. He was also charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree (a class A misdemeanor) for allegedly damaging property belonging to the victim.
Wall appeared before Judge Robert A. Rybak in the Clifton Park Town Court for arraignment. He was released on his own recognizance and will have his case continue in the Halfmoon Town Court system.
