Saratoga County is mourning the loss of a two-year-old child who was struck and killed by a vehicle on private property on Brampton Lane in Northumberland Thursday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to the residence around 5:35 p.m., finding the toddler injured. The child was transported to Saratoga Hospital, where they later passed away. The child’s name has not been released at this time.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident occurred on private land and is currently conducting a crash examination to determine the cause of the collision. Details of the investigation were not provided Thursday evening.
