The American Red Cross is stepping in to help after a tour bus crash near Lake George involving students from the Bronx. Red Cross volunteers from the Northeastern New York Chapter are providing food, warm blankets, and comfort kits with personal care items to the 20 young people affected by the Sunday morning incident.
Emergency services responded to a crash reported around 11:13 AM on Sunday. The bus, carrying seventeen students and six adults, reportedly didn’t stop at an intersection on Diamond Point Road and went off-road, striking several things before stopping. Four students received non-life-threatening injuries treated locally, while the others were taken to the sheriff’s office for assistance.
The driver was transported to a hospital in Albany with minor facial injuries. Authorities, including the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police, are investigating the cause of the crash. The Red Cross is coordinating closely with local emergency management to support those involved as they recover.
