Glens Falls firefighters responded to a report Thursday night, but one was involved in a serious incident shortly after departing the station. State Police confirmed that 50-year-old Micki Guy, a member of the Glens Falls Fire Department since 2010, was the passenger in Engine 4 when she fell from the vehicle during the turn onto Broad Street.
Ms. Guy sustained severe head trauma and was transported first to Glens Falls Hospital before being moved to Albany Medical Center, where she remains in critical condition. Fire Department members, family, and Glens Falls Mayor Diana Palmer were at the hospital Friday morning, expressing their heartfelt support for Micki and her family during this difficult time.
The City of Glens Falls addressed online speculation, asking everyone to await the completion of the ongoing State Police investigation.
