A Glens Falls firefighter was seriously injured in an accident near Broad Street Fire Station No. 2, according to city spokespersons. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. Thursday.
The injured firefighter, identified as female, was transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. While the city expressed gratitude for the mutual aid fire and EMS crews assisting with the initial calls, no further details about the nature of the accident were released.
Broad Street was temporarily blocked in both directions near Murray Street and Mission Street during the investigation. The city extended its thanks to all responding emergency personnel for their support.
