A routine wellness check at a Stewart’s Shop in Milton, Saratoga County, Thursday afternoon led to the arrest of two men and a woman from Broadalbin. Deputies responded around 11:10 a.m. after reports of two people being unresponsive in the parking lot.
Katrina A. Fonda, 36, and Christopher A. Fonda, 46, were found inside a vehicle and found unresponsive. Following an investigation, Katrina Fonda was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree (a class C felony) and also in the seventh degree (a misdemeanor). Christopher Fonda was charged with criminal possession in the seventh degree.
Both are scheduled to appear in court at a later date, though Katrina Fonda was released on her own recognizance after arraignment. Notably, the charges against them are not eligible for bail under current New York State law. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
