Gail Elizabeth Howard, a cherished resident of Ballston Spa, passed away on April 1, 2026, at Albany Medical Center, following her brave fight against cholangiocarcinoma, a rare form of bile duct cancer. She was 70 years old.
Known for her adventurous youth, Gail was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, and attended Shenendehowa High School. She married Robert F. Howard in 1987 and dedicated many years to her family, raising her two children, Danielle and Sam, and serving as a beloved grandmother to her two granddaughters. Professionally, she worked as the Office Manager for Team Howard Inc.
Described as a vibrant and nurturing presence, Gail touched countless lives with her energy, empathy, and warm smile. She was deeply involved in her children’s activities and passionate about fostering connections, often hosting gatherings and offering support to friends and family. Gail is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life and fundraising event for the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation will be held at Carson’s Woodside Tavern in Malta on June 30th, from 2 PM to 6 PM. Wearing green is encouraged in support of bile duct cancer awareness. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the foundation.
