The Springfield College women’s track and field team delivered impressive performances at their home Outdoor Classic this past Saturday, April 4th. Competitors from across the region showcased strong athletic talent, with the Pride securing several top finishes and setting new benchmarks for Division III track and field.
Notably, the team’s 4×100-meter relay quartet shined brightly, leading off the meet with a decisive victory clocking 48.62 seconds. Other stellar individual efforts included Katherine DeFosse’s impressive fifth-fastest time in Division III in the 100-meter hurdles, Sydney Meeks securing a runner-up finish in the 200-meter dash, and Peyton Knott capturing the 800-meter title.
The meet featured outstanding performances by local athletes, including Madison Mulas (Wilmington, Mass.), Sydney Meeks (Wynantskill, N.Y.), Peyton Knott (Leicester, Mass.), and Grace Flattery (Swansea, Mass.). Their contributions, alongside teammates like Ella Couchon, Kami Wlodyka, and Julia Romano, highlighted a successful day of competition for the Springfield Pride.
