The Le Moyne College women’s lacrosse team secured their spot in the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship with a decisive 11-7 victory over FDU on Saturday. Graduate student attacker Francesca Tortora led the scoring with five points, extending her recent scoring streak.
This win guarantees the Dolphins the top seed in the upcoming NEC tournament, which starts on April 30th. They will host the championship if they win their final regular season game against Central Connecticut State next Saturday.
The Dolphins (12-3, 7-1) showed strong offensive play throughout the game, including an impressive start with three goals in the first four minutes, and solidified their position at the top of the league with their consistent performance.
