Local hero Stephanie Bourque has earned national recognition for her outstanding character on the ice! As captain of the Union College women’s hockey team, Bourque was named the recipient of the ECAC Hockey Wayne Dean Sportsmanship Award. This prestigious award honors her exceptional qualities of respect, integrity, sportsmanship, and ethics.
Bourque, a senior from Clifton Park, brings her dedication and leadership to the team, and this award highlights her commitment both on and off the rink. Her peers and coaches have long spoken of her exemplary conduct, and now the ECAC league has officially recognized these admirable traits.
