In a quiet moment in Clifton Park, the community mourns the passing of Raymond F. Dozois, a beloved resident who lived a full life until the age of 99 on April 11, 2026. Born in Cohoes in 1926, Ray’s life was marked by service, dedication, and a deep love for his family and community.
Raymond proudly served his country, first in the Merchant Marines and later in the United States Army during the challenging times of the Japanese Occupation. He was an avid bowler, took pride in his vegetable garden, and was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and New York Giants. He was also active in St. Edward the Confessor Church and the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 1450.
Known for his strong family bonds, Ray is survived by his wife of 79 years, Marie, and their three children, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Calling Hour and Mass of Christian Burial were held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, with interment following at Saratoga National Cemetery.
