A beloved member of the Saratoga County community, Kevin J. Rogers, 64, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 13, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York.
Moving to Clifton Park as a teenager, Kevin quickly made his mark. Known as “the new kid” for his distinctive New York accent and long beard, he soon became recognized for his warm spirit and genuine character. He attended Shenendehowa High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Siena College.
Kevin’s career path was varied, starting with bartending jobs, including at The Godfather restaurant. He later became a respected journalist and editor, notably serving as the former editor of The Ballston Journal and as executive director of the Modern Whig Institute. He was also a talented freelance writer who contributed significantly to community understanding through his work.
