Kee to Independent Growth Inc. celebrated the launch of its New Journeys Senior & Veteran Social Day Program with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at their Clifton Park location (1673 Building A Rt. 9). The new program, designed for seniors and veterans, offers social engagement and group activities, providing both participants and their caregivers with a supportive community space.
According to Assistant Executive Director Amy Leininger, the program’s main goals are fostering social connections, giving caregivers much-needed breaks, and creating a safe, fun environment where individuals can enjoy daily activities without worrying about their loved ones’ safety. The program operates Monday through Friday, with some weekend options.
Executive Director Karen Le’Que noted that this fourth program site addresses a significant need, offering respite for families and meaningful daily engagement for participants. While Kee to Independent Growth Inc. has served the Capital Region for 18 years from locations in Malta, South Glens Falls, and Clifton Park, this new service expands their range of support to include seniors and veterans specifically.
