South Glens Falls delivered a strong start to their season with a convincing 26-0 shutout over the Hudson Falls Tigers in their home opener on Thursday. The Bulldogs’ pitchers combined to hand the Tigers their second loss of the year.
Grady Bammert and Ethan Ford were standout performers on the mound. Bammert threw two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and no earned runs. Ford struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits and only one walk. Both also contributed heavily at the plate, combining for six RBIs and key runs.
Michael Plourde stood out significantly at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, five RBIs, and two runs. Eric Miller also had a big game, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBIs, and one triple. The team’s overall offensive power was evident, finishing with an on-base percentage of .683 compared to the Tigers’ .167.

In other batting news, Michael Plourde’s 3-for-4 performance with two triples, five RBIs, and two runs marked the most hits he has posted since April of 2025. Eric Miller’s 3-for-4 effort added four runs, three RBIs, and one triple.
South Glens Falls always had someone on base and easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hudson Falls posted an OBP of just .167.
