The Roger Williams University Hawks women’s lacrosse team experienced a tough outing on the road, falling to the Colby Mules with a final score of 17-6 in nonconference action. The loss marked the end of a challenging road trip for the Hawks.
Colby got off to a quick start, taking an early lead that the Hawks tied just before halftime of the first quarter. However, the Mules proved too strong early on, mounting a significant scoring run and building an 8-1 advantage heading into halftime of the first quarter.
Despite the loss, local player Allie Shamberger (Saratoga Springs) showed her skills, contributing offensively for the Hawks. The team will look to regroup and focus on upcoming seasons and continued development as they head back to the campus in Bristol, Rhode Island.
