Providence College’s track and field teams recently competed at the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational in Worcester, Massachusetts, celebrating local talent from Saratoga Springs. Both the men’s and women’s squads had strong showings, with several athletes achieving personal bests and winning event titles.
Among the standout performances, Saratoga Springs native Emily Bush captured the women’s 2,000-meter steeplechase title with a personal-best time. Ciara Evans (Newton, MA) also earned a victory, taking first place in the 1,500 meters, while Keira Kelly (NJ) won the 400 meters and Níamh O’Mahony (Ireland) anchored the victory in the 5,000 meters for the women. On the men’s side, Jack Dowd (NY) won the 800 meters, Will Johnston (NZ) claimed second in the 1,500, and Kyle Bloomer (CT) placed third in the 400 meters.
