Big congratulations to Larry Stalbaum and Blazing Home N! The talented horse scored his third Open Pace victory of the year at Saratoga Casino Hotel on Saturday, April 11, going off at favorable 1-5 odds to claim the $16,500 feature race.
Though he’d been a beaten favorite in his prior starts in the Open, Blazing Home N showed he’s the horse bettors believe him to be, taking control in the stretch to defeat Belmont Royale N, who had led throughout much of the race. The mile was completed in a fast time of 1:53.2.
This marks the fifth win for Stalbaum’s team this year in the Open Pace, with Rocknroll Runa A also claiming victories. Blazing Home N now boasts an impressive five wins in 2026 across all divisions, adding to his three local Open Pace triumphs.
Racing continues this Sunday with a noon matinee card following this exciting victory.
