Cornell’s 13th-ranked men’s heavyweight rowing team had a competitive split against #12 Boston University on Fish Creek, facing tough blustery conditions throughout the dual meet.
The standout result was the Varsity Eight+, where Cornell’s 2V8+ narrowly edged out BU by just over a second. Elsewhere, BU took the Varsity Eight’s race by over seven seconds, and Cornell picked up a win via disqualification in the Third Varsity Eight+ after BU drifted out of their lane.
Looking ahead, Cornell returns home next Saturday for the Goes Trophy race against Syracuse and Navy on Cayuga Inlet, promising another exciting event for local rowing fans.
