It was with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of Timothy Lee Chotkowski, a valued member of the Schenectady community, who passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at the age of 58. Born in Schenectady, Timothy was the cherished son of Leon and Beverly Chotkowski.
For many years, Timothy dedicated his service to Union College, working in the bookstore, contributing to the campus community. Beyond his career, he found simple pleasures in life, particularly enjoying time spent outdoors fishing and gardening. He also had a fun-loving spirit, often sharing laughter through karaoke nights and friendly trivia competitions.
Family was Timothy’s greatest joy, and he took immense pride in his role as an uncle. His love, humor, and constant presence were a source of immense joy and unwavering support to his niece and nephews. He is survived by his siblings Tracy Layton, Suzanne Fisherauer, and Dennis Chotkowski, and his cherished niece and nephews. The Kidney Foundation is suggested for memorial contributions in his memory.
