Saratoga County’s municipalities continue to hold strong financial positions, according to the latest credit brief from S&P Global Ratings. The data highlights the credit quality and outlooks of various local governments.
Locally, Saratoga Springs stands out with a top-tier AA+ rating, which S&P has assigned to the county’s leading municipality, and this rating comes with a stable outlook, reflecting its solid financial health.
Other Saratoga County areas also fare well: Saugerties Town holds a solid AA- rating with a stable outlook, while Schenectady and Schodack Town both boast AA+ ratings, also with stable futures. Scottsville Village, too, has received an A+ rating with a stable perspective.
This positive assessment from major credit rating agencies underscores the fiscal responsibility and stability maintained by many local governments in the Saratoga region.
