Kelly’s Angels’ annual Mother-Lovin’ 5K is returning to Saratoga Spa State Park this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th. The race, a deeply cherished tradition for many, takes place at the Park and serves as a special day for the community to remember loved ones and celebrate those who are no longer with us.
While the event is more than just a run or walk, it’s also a heartfelt moment for reflection and honoring mothers and other special people. This year, there’s a new winner to look forward to, as Anthony Zazzaro, the three-time defending champion, will be participating in a meet for Binghamton University and won’t be able to run.
The story behind the race is poignant; it began with Anthony Zazzaro’s mother, Diane, and continues to be a moving tribute. Now, on Mother’s Day, families and friends gather at the Park, with the added perk of a free car wash for participants who sign up. This race remains a unique and touching part of our local events calendar.
