Get ready for some holiday magic right here in our Capital Region! Hollywood is back on location, and this time it’s for a Christmas movie. Filming is underway for the Netflix project “A Christmas Spin” in Saratoga Springs and Albany.
While you’ll recognize some faces, including Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan and actress April Bowlby (best known for her role as Kandi on “Two and a Half Men”), many cast and crew members are local Upstate New Yorkers. The production recently moved from the Saratoga Springs Ice Rink to Albany’s MVP Arena, wrapping up shortly after.
This isn’t the first time big-screen productions have chosen our area for the holidays. From “A Christmas Spin” to past Hallmark films, it shows the Capital Region is a popular place for filmmakers looking for authentic holiday scenes. Keep an eye out for these cameras around town!
