This week, the MAAC softball weekly awards went to three impressive athletes, showcasing strong performances against conference opponents. Let’s highlight their achievements!
Hailey Guerrero of Iona led the offense with a sensational week at the plate. The senior from Bellmore, NY, batted an outstanding .611 with five doubles, two home runs, and a team-high 10 runs batted in, helping the Iona team go undefeated in league play.
Alyssa Weinberg earned the Pitcher of the Week honor for Fairfield. The senior right-hander was instrumental in four of the Stags’ five wins, recording a fantastic 0.93 ERA with 31 strikeouts in her pitching appearances against conference foes.
Livia Wiltsie, the Marist rookie, made her presence felt offensively. She hit .400 with a powerful .750 slugging average, including two home runs and five RBIs in Marist’s strong week.
