Theresa M. LaPorte, a registered nurse who lived in Ballston Spa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Born in Amsterdam, Theresa was a 1972 graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School and later earned a degree in nursing from SUNY Fredonia (originally FMCC). She dedicated over 35 years to nursing, beginning her career in Richmond, VA and retiring from SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital in Syracuse. Theresa also enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.
Throughout her life, Theresa was known for her caring nature, both in her professional role and personal relationships. She is survived by her siblings Andre LaPorte Jr., Shirley LaPorte, and Marie Quiri of Perth, NY; her dear friend Diane Gray; her uncle Gerard LaPorte; aunts Toni Lerew and Jeanette Brown; cousins; and many dear friends. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Rose & Hughes Funeral Home.
