Christian Brothers Academy pulled off a dramatic victory Wednesday afternoon against Ballston Spa, thanks to a clutch walk-off single from Ryan Huban in the bottom of the seventh inning. Huban’s hit secured a 6-5 win for CBA in a game that featured plenty of back-and-forth action, feeling much like a playoff matchup.
The final margin might be close, but the atmosphere was electric as Huban stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and the game on the line. His decisive hit capped off a thrilling contest that showcased the intensity of high school baseball in our area.
Huban’s heroics gave CBA the win in what was a crucial matchup. Now, both teams continue their seasons, with CBA set to be in action again Saturday for the Saratoga Day Tournament.
