Exciting news from Ballston Spa! The Ballston Spa High School FIRST Robotics Team #3044 OxBe4 has officially qualified for the prestigious FIRST Robotics World Championship, set to take place in Houston, Texas. This is the team’s second year competing on this national stage, marking another significant accomplishment for the students, coaches, and mentors involved.
At their recent regional competition, the OxBe4 team made a strong showing, boasting an impressive record with their robot being the only undefeated one during qualifying matches, going 8-0. They finished the event with an overall record of 9-1, securing the Team Spirit Award and demonstrating impressive skill, especially as they placed third overall among all teams competing at the event.
While their success on the field is impressive, the team now needs the community’s help to make the trip to Houston for the world championship. They fundraise entirely on their own, and the journey to the championship will require significant funds, estimated at tens of thousands of dollars. Students and supporters are asking for your support before the April 28th deadline.
