A beloved member of the Albany community, Diane Lynn Hasenbein, passed away on April 17, 2026, at the age of 76. A lifelong resident of Albany, Diane attended Albany High School and Hudson Valley Community College. She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1968 and was known for her strong connection to her city.
Diane married Richard Hasenbein on June 13, 1970, and they shared nearly five and a half decades of marriage. Their lives were deeply intertwined with music, beginning in the choir of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, where Diane sang for an impressive 68 years. She was also active in the community, serving the church in various roles and supporting local groups like the P.S. 23 PTA and Girl Scout troops.
Throughout her life, Diane dedicated herself to her family and community. She worked in various roles, including at Sears and serving as an Administrative Assistant at her places of worship. She also provided daycare and worked as a skin care consultant. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, and stepbrothers.
