Ballston Spa National Bank is celebrating a milestone! After a year-long, historic rehabilitation, the bank has reopened its original Front Street headquarters to the public. The ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony will take place on Friday, April 24th, at 10:00 a.m., offering everyone a peek inside the newly refreshed space.
President and CEO Christopher Dowd explained the bank’s aim: “Our intent was to honor the rich history of this building while ensuring it meets the needs of today’s customers.” The building, dating back to 1824, has served the Ballston Spa community as a landmark for over 188 years, and the bank is proud to have preserved this cornerstone.
The restoration carefully upgraded the branch’s interior with modern features like a new ATM and Drive-Thru, while retaining and restoring its historic charm. This commitment ensures the building remains a vital part of the downtown district. The reopening marks a celebration of both the bank’s legacy and its modern services.
