Big wins all around the local fields this weekend! The Shenendehowa girls’ lacrosse team picked up a solid 17-10 victory over Columbia on Saturday, putting the finishing touches on their impressive win by outscoring the Blue Devils 6-1 in the final quarter. Brooke Ward was the star for the Lady Wildcats with seven goals, while Emerson Breen (five points) and Aidyn Tlusty (three goals) also played key roles.
Other Suburban Council action saw Shaker High defeat Saratoga Springs 12-5. Elsewhere in non-league play, Johnstown had a strong showing with a 14-9 win over Scotia-Glenville, and Section I’s Suffern emerged victorious against Queensbury. Boys’ lacrosse also delivered some exciting finishes, including Glens Falls’ Jake Burns setting a new career single-game record in his team’s big win.
